Chattanooga students to ‘star’ in NASA video
Students at the Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences have key roles in the filming of a NASA educational video to be seen by students across the country next year. The students will be featured in an upcoming episode of "NASA CONNECT" a series of NASA instructional video programs. During the filming, students will be working with an interactive web site about math concepts and an educational CD-ROM on aircraft design.

What: Students at the Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences have key roles in the filming of a NASA educational video to be seen by students across the country next year. The students will be featured in an upcoming episode of "NASA CONNECT" a series of NASA instructional video programs. During the filming, students will be working with an interactive web site about math concepts and an educational CD-ROM on aircraft design.
NASA CONNECT programs are free and delivered to classrooms via satellite with lesson plans available on the Internet. They emphasize activities and experiments to help educators creatively present math, science and problem-solving skills.
Who: A videotape crew from NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., will be filming sixth graders from CSAS, along with American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics students from the University of Tennessee Space Institute in Tullahoma who are serving as mentors.
