Former astronaut Eugene Trinh headlines cultural 'Unity' fest Wednesday
"Unity in Freedom" is the theme for the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration at the Marshall Center Wednesday, May 8. Former astronaut Eugene Trinh who trained at Marshall for his mission to Spacelab on STS-50 in 1992 will speak. The celebration will include cultural dances performed in authentic fashions and traditional foods from Vietnam, Korea, Thailand and other Asian countries.

What: "Unity in Freedom" is the theme for the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. Astronaut Eugene Trinh -- who trained at the Marshall Center for his mission on Spacelab on STS-50 in 1992 -- will speak. The celebration will include cultural dances performed in authentic fashions and traditional foods from Vietnam, Korea, Thailand and other Asian countries.
Who: Trinh will talk about perspectives of research in space -- from a ground laboratory, in space and behind a desk. He is the director of the Physical Sciences Division at NASA Headquarters.
