NASA Administrator Sean O’Keefe set to visit Marshall Space Flight Center on Feb. 8

NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe will visit the Marshall Center Friday and Saturday. O'Keefe will meet with Marshall Center civil service and contractor employees, tour Center facilities and attend a reception hosted by the National Space Club.

NASA Administrator Sean O’Keefe will visit the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., on Feb. 8-9, as he continues a tour of NASA field centers.

During his trip to Huntsville, Administrator O’Keefe will meet with Marshall Center civil service and contractor employees, tour Center facilities and attend a reception hosted by the National Space Club.

As part of his visit, the Administrator will be available to briefly speak with news media late Friday afternoon Feb. 8. Media representatives interested in covering the event, which will include a photo opportunity, should contact Jerry Berg of the Marshall Media Relations Department at (256) 544-0034 by 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7.

Administrator O’Keefe was sworn in Dec. 21 as the agency’s 10th chief, following his confirmation by the U.S. Senate on Dec. 20. President George W. Bush nominated him for the position Nov. 14.
