Marshall Center invites area middle school students to learn more about Hispanic Heritage month

What:		Hispanic artist Nini de la Torre of San Juan, Puerto Rico, will present two workshops for area middle school students on creative conceptualizing - seeing the world in a creative way - as part of National Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, Sept. 15 - Oct. 15, at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. De la Torre's artwork "Island Dancing" is on display at the Marshall Center. (See attachment.)
Who:		Schools slated to attend the workshops include Oakwood Academy; Academy for Academics and Art in Huntsville; Westlawn and Williams Middle Schools of Huntsville, Discovery and Liberty Middle Schools of Madison; and Athens Middle School of Athens.
When:		Friday, Oct. 12 First session: 9 to 11 a.m. CDT; Second session: noon to 2 p.m.
Where:		Marshall Center, Bldg. 4200, Room P-110

Escort from Redstone Arsenal Gate 9 is required. Vehicles are subject to security search at the gate. News media will need two photo identifications and proof of car insurance.
