[]
Meeting
Dr. Jeffry Rothermel (background) from NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and Dr. David M. Tratt from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory take readings from the atmospheric wind sensor aboard a NASA DC-8 aircraft during flights to study Atlantic hurricanes in the CAMEX-3 program. Rothermel is principal investigator for the experiment. The CAMEX-3 program, to measure high-altitude wind steering currents and hurricane intensity, is being coordinated by Marshall's Global Climate Center in Huntsville, Ala.
