Description:

A severe line of thunderstorms developed along the eastern seabreeze front. This Jacksonville thunderstorm produced a small tornado. In the foreground is the NASA DC-8 aircraft which is being flown this summer from Jacksonville to study hurricanes and thunderstorms. The images were taken between 7:13 and 7:14 ESDT.
