Gerald W. Smith

Gerald W. Smith, former president of ATK Thiokol Propulsion in Brigham City, Utah, has been named executive director of the National Space Science and Technology Center in Huntsville, Ala.

The research center, which brings together NASA, university researchers and private industry, is a partnership between NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville and the Alabama Space Science and Technology Alliance, a consortium of Alabama's research universities.
